London is calling you!
The last four times I have visited London, it has NOT rained, I think it is a rumor started by the British to keep people away, DO NOT listen, go to London now! Exciting, busy, great food, shopping, theaters and specially GREAT hotels. The Corinthia is a GEM, it haves great location near Embankment Tube stop on the river. BIG rooms, great ambiance and fabulous service. I can NOT say enough good things about the hotel and easy walking to theater, shopping and pubs.
Hotel Stafford, elegant hidden gem just in back of the Ritz, a secret walkway to Green Park. The American bar is a MUST from 5 to 730 it is loud and crowded. Then everyone goes home or to the theater but definitely a good place for a snack. Prince William & Harry go there, the garden is open spring to fall and rooms are large and well appointed, service is fabulous.
The Ritz... what can you say about the Ritz London! Fabulous as always. Tea is very special here but you must make reservations. It starts at 11:30am until 7:30pm. It is special! Ritz renovated the rooms, they are bright and beautiful also, they changed gold to silver and it makes a BIG difference. Treat yourself to the Ritz, you will always remember it!
The new Lanesborough is TRULY grand elegance, wonderful location and traditional elegant furnishings, butler service for all room. Wonderful dining, It is elegant.
London Free walking tours are great but remember to tip your guide at least 20euros per person. The guides are young and very knowledgeable. You have to walk to see London but Hop on Hop Off bus is a good way to get you around, sit on the top to see it all, the staff is very helpful.
Theater is a MUST, some of the best musicals ever! YES, prices are high but built it into your budget.
AND YES! London is expensive, so plan well. Ask your travel agent in 4 Seasons Travel Inc. (787) 722-0660 to have a wonderful vacation.
Until next time!
