Where Oh Where Shall We Go! How About Washington, DC?

There are so many famous sights, fabulous restaurants, bustling nightlife and great hotels to fit all budgets. The Smithsonian, which is probably the most famous Museum in the United States, is a collection of 17 museums and galleries that include among others, the National Zoo, Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History.  Most of the buildings are located on the National Mall, the most frequented National Park in the country, with the US Capitol building on one end and the Lincoln Memorial on the other.

Another must-see is Arlington Cemetery with the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Holocaust Museum, Vietnam War Memorial, Washington Monument, and the National Cathedral. There are day trips to Mount Vernon, the restored home of George Washington, with lots of history and things to do. Williamsburg, the 18th-century colonial village is also worth a visit. The most trendy places right now are The Wharf, The Yard and Georgetown, both waterfronts with lots of wonderful seafood restaurants and shops facing the famous Potomac River.

For us, the best time of the year to visit Washington DC is spring! amazing weather and the city is covered with lots of beautiful white and pink cherry blossom trees! If you would like more information on cherry blossoms watch, click HERE.

We can book you on a group tour in English or Spanish with option to go from Philadelphia to Washington and cover all sights in between, such as Gettysburg.
